This is not a cruise - it's a true taste of life onboard an ocean racing yacht. Conditions are cramped, the 'galley' is a kettle and the heads are definitely an experience... especially when you are pitched over up wind. But you'll be a key member of our team and get involved in every aspect of the experience.
Our professional crew will be on hand 24/7 to guide you and push you to the edge of your comfort zone. You'll build confidence (and lots of miles for your log book), learn new skills and achieve things you never thought would be possible. Better yet, the camaraderie is second to none and you'll walk away with friends for life.
Black Betty Racing Team was setup to race in some of the most prestigious races in Turkey with a full amateur crew, while competing with some of the best professional teams in Mediterranean. As a member of our team, not only do you get to feel the awesome speed & power of a Volvo 70, you will learn how to sail the boat and become part of the crew.
We welcome all skill levels and backgrounds and will discuss what you want to gain from your race. You could hone your helming skills, get involved with the weather routing/navigation/tactics or learn your way around the foredeck and sail configurations. We are committed to providing individually tailored training and coaching while creating a great team atmosphere where everyone is included.
